Clear expectations for how account information is handled.
This privacy template describes the categories of information used by the application and should be reviewed against the actual legal entity, hosting arrangement, service providers and jurisdictions before production use.
1. Information collected
The application can collect account profile information such as name, email, phone number, country, residential address, city, region, postal code and preferred currency. It can also store verification submissions, financial request details, transaction records, support messages and account notifications.
2. How information is used
Information is used to create and secure accounts, process user-requested workflows, display account records, review verification, communicate about account activity, provide support and maintain application security.
3. Security measures
The application uses server-side authentication, password hashing, CSRF controls, prepared database statements and selected rate limits. No security measure can eliminate every risk, and production deployment should be reviewed against the operator’s infrastructure and policies.
4. Data retention
Account and transaction records may need to be retained for operational, legal, security or dispute-resolution purposes. The actual retention period should be documented by the operator according to applicable requirements.
5. Service providers
Email, SMS, hosting, market-data or other third-party services may receive the minimum information necessary to provide their configured function. Their own privacy and processing terms should be reviewed separately.
6. Technical information
The application may record technical information such as IP addresses, timestamps, session activity and delivery or application logs for security and operational purposes.
7. User choices
Users should keep account information current and can contact support about account information or privacy questions. Some records may need to remain available where retention is required.
8. Privacy questions
Use the contact or authenticated support channel for questions about account information. Do not send passwords, reset links or authentication codes through support messages.
